Tube Sub cutting out at mid-high volume
Hi everyone:
So here's the problem:
I have the following equipment in my EJ6:
Panasonic MXE CQ-C7203U head unit
Infinity Reference Series 6.5 inch speakers on front
Infinity 1 inch tweeters in front
Soundstorm 6 by 9s in the rear
Audiobahn ATB10AT powered sub tube in trunk
Everything works great, except for the sub, which I just got for Christmas....
I wired the amp with RCA cables from the Subwoofer out on the head to the RCA input on the amp. 10 gauge power cable from the battery to the amp, with in-line fuse. Power signal cable from the right rear positive terminal.
So what happens is, the sub hits hard enough and everything, but whenever I crank the volume, the sub cuts out. It doesn't really matter how much bass there is, it just cuts off the subwoofer at a certain level. Oh, and the protection light doesn't ever come on....
Thanks for any help.

Well, I fixed my issue. Thanks for all the help everyone!
It turned out that because I had wired the amp signal wired through the rear right speaker, as was instructed in the manufactures installation manual, the amp was getting confused. I wired it through the signal wire on the head, and the problem is gone.
