Default sound deadener.

this is not for my car, but my computer case.

i read a few threads on it already and concluded that i want to go to raamat since its the cheapest. that way i can go with a couple layers.

i went to the guy (rick?) site, all he have on there is the BIG rolls. all i want is about 10-15 sq ft.

is there a place i can get this stuff retail, locally?

also, i read about using open cell foam sheets to also reduce noise.

will something like that work in my application?

i plan to take my computer case and layer a couple sheets of raamat on every panel i can. seal up all the ventialtion holes, except for fans. put groumetts on all screws to reduce vibration, and finally getting some kind of foam to absorb some of the sound.

thanks.

Will,

Rick is the only place to get the stuff. I would just email him...he's a nice guy, and could probably get you 10 SQ feet of each.

Just ask...it can't hurt.

He doesn't sell the foam through his site, but, I know he uses it in his new Matrix, so he's bound to have some scraps around - at least large enough for your case. Like I said ask him, and he should be able to help you.

You can get the foam (Ensolite) from the following source:

If you really have a hard time getting the mat, let me know, and I will cut you some.

I'll be ordering foam as well fairly soon, so I can get some extra if need be.
