The dsd line is higher than the dsc. I have the dsd213's in my wife's SUV and they sound pretty good.

Very overrated. I don't care to much for them, and personally I wouldn't waste my money.

I wouldnt say their overrated... their lowerline of speakers are something left to be desired.... but their Q series is simply amazing with a high pricetag as well... so they are capable of producing some very fine quality speakers.

As I said before and I will say again... it's all about the install..even focal eutopia's can sound disgusting if not installed properly... off topic and I apologize :fawk:

How can a $140 set of components be overrated???

They're good for their price range and intended buyer/listener.

this is so true and Iam speaking from firsthand knowledge. A bad install will equal a bad sound every time.

I don't understand how I could have a bad install. I unscrew my stock components and screw in the new ones. Please explain.

stock speakers.. have nice factory midbass... and are designed for free air mounting... certain speakers sound best when they are in sealed enclosures.. such as kick panels.. pods.. etc....

thusly if a install mounts these puppies...in stock locations.. they might not sound as good...

it all depends on the speaker... adequate amplified power... and type of enclosure/install....

research on elitecaraudio or caraudioforum... on types of speakers and install stories.. it might open your eyes on this issue
