Default Removal of rear 6x9 96 civic ex?

how do you remove the speakers to put new ones in? thanks

You have to remove both side panels just to access and remove the rear deck. Then you can replace the speakers. Its a pain in the ass to do...

God, that is a pain in the ass.

Not as bad as some. I've helped people install speakers in the back of Toyotas...the Corolla needs it's seats removed.

the civic requires you to also remove your rear seats, then side panels, the rear deck. I was just thinking of using a dremel and cut the speaker whole permanent

you may just want to do it the right way. sure, it's a pain in the a$$, but it turns out clean. AND, if you are thinking about putting an amp and sub in the trunk, it's the BEST time to run all your power and rca's, cuz you have both sides off already. even if you don't have an amp or a sub yet but you are planning to put them in, you should think about possibly buying the wires and putting them in. it could save you time in the long run if you know exactly what size of stuff you are putting in.
