Default what you guys think about this amp..

Audiobahn A4601Q

-105 watts RMS x 4 at 2 ohms
-210 watts RMS x 2 bridged output
-2-, 3-, or 4-channel output
-Tri-Way capable
-MOSFET power supplies
-requires 8-gauge power and ground leads — wiring and hardware not included with amplifier
-high-pass (50-750 Hz)/low-pass (50-120 Hz) crossovers, 18 dB/octave
-selectable 18 dB bass boost at 50 Hz

its like ~$230 on ebay.. right now i have a POS kenwood amp, that is 30watts x 4 when its runnin off of 14.4volts. so basically, will i notice a very big difference in this? any suggestions? its right around my price range too

I'm not a big Audiobahn guy at all. The reason is because the most common places to find Audiobahn, besides the net, are at pawn shops and those big convention center/fairgrounds "sale of the century" things....

$200+ can buy much better quality like PPI, Alpine, etc...

yeah im betting there will be a difference. Twice the power is a generally a 3db increase. That will be noticable but not a huge huge difference. This amp should give you enough headroom unless you turn it up really loud. I personally don't like audiobahn i was gonna go with one but decided to go with two smaller phoenix gold amps but ended up happy with just one. Ive read reviews and they seem to say it performes fine. Fan may be noisy if its on all the time and there are no distortion figures which concerns me a bit. Make sure it fits where you want it to go.

US Acoustics! Im not usually into cheaper equipment, but they are actually impressive. Same with Profile... yeah, yeah... they're not as big as Alpine or some other brands... but thats because they're overlooked... at the end of the summer I installed 2 Profile Clarus amps (thats what the guy wanted) in a car... 4 channel running Polk components and 6x9's and a 2 channel bridged for a pair of 10's. I normally wouldnt even thing about buying profile or US acoustics... but I proved myself wrong when I heard them... they are really impressive.

You could get a nicer 2 channel and run each side on one channel. That would give you a 2 ohm stereo load which is the min most amps can take. But keep in mind you loose front to back fading and if your back speakers are more efficient you have no way to compensate. I think you might be able to get a used ads amp for that much off ebay. I am not crazy about the newer rockford stuff except the way older ones that are shaped like an oval. In the end I don't really think youll hear much of a difference but its more a matter of preference. It doesn't sound like your planning on competing so it probably wouldn't matter if you went with the audiobahn. imho would i go with another brand yes but again thats my opinion and i doubt that i would even be able to tell you the difference as far as sound goes.
