Default alarm systems.. what do i look for? want?

i have absolutly no clue about them.. what brand is good? good prices? what should i look for?

Clifford G4, if you see that in the description, make sure you get a good install and you're set.

Viper, Python, Hornet (etc) are all made by DEI. In my opinion a pretty good system, since I've had 6 installed in my vehicles since I've been driving. Their all pretty much going to have the same basic features such as shock sensor, starter kill relay, code hoping, keyless entry and auto lock if you have power door locks. My latest alarm is the Python 660XP with remote starting and dome light relay. (remote starting and dome light relay were add-ons). Total price including labor was $300, but then again I've been doing business with this same place for 15 years.
