are you looking for a big system with bass and highs and everything? or just a decent one for normal listening?

I always start with the head unit, it'll definitely make your stock speakers sound better. After you replace that, you should replace your speakers. Once that gets done, you can make the decision if you want to add subs or not. If you do, you might be able to get away with powering your speakers w/your deck for a short while and add a sub(s) and an amp to power them. Then you can get an amp for your mids/highs and you should be done.

Firstly, define what you want from your "system."
What kind of media of entertainment do you want/need? [CD/cassette/AM/FM/digital radio/MP3 (I hear this is big nowadays...)... or DVD (audio/video), etc.]
From this, you will most likely give your present source/head unit the boot as well as determine which particular deck you might need and its peripheral accessories.

Are you looking for sound quality? Or, do you just need some bass to finish your present system? Moreover, how loud do want/need your system to be? (Louder than road noise/a jackhammer within 5 ft./the runways of your local airport?)

Anyway, most likely you will want to upgrade your:
head unit and
speakers.

Apreciate it. I'm not too sure on what my budget would be for now.

Curently, Im looking for component speakers(Image Dynamics), subs(Image Dynamics) and adding a DVD and Display on the headrest. Basically Im looking for very good sound quality.

Im planning on buying the component speakers first then the subs and following that are the DVD and displays. So I wont buy them in one lump sum...I already have the component speakers planned this month so. Hopefully by March or so this will be done.

Go here to see Image Dynamics sites: http://www.imagedynamicsusa.com/
