how can i see if cd player works
 

i have an old pioneer head unit that a family member gave me awhile back. at the time he couldnt find the wiring harness and he told me he didnt know if it still worked. time went by and i let it just sit around and never asked him agian for the pioneer harness. so im wondering if there is anyway possible to check if it is functional before i go and purchase the pioneer harness and another harness to splice into. i dont wanna go buy those and then it not even work.

You probably can buy the Pioneer harness and return it if it doesnt work.

But unless you want to go through the trouble of identifying all the pins, putting wires to them...theres really no other way.
