Default Acura Integra Stereo Installation

Hello
I have Acura Integra 98' and I just finished taking out acura manufatured cd player and intalling a new cd player.
The problem is I don't get radio signals at all both AM and FM.
Is there something I missed to connect?

CD player is SONY CDX-RA700
BTW, I know nothing about cars and it's my first time installation.
Thanks guys,

When you turn on the stereo, does the antenna extend?
If not, you've forgotten to connect the lead which triggers the power antenna.

If the antenna extends and your reception is poor, it is possible that the antenna signal lead isn't connected to the stereo. It's unlike any other wire back there; it's black w/ a metal plug at the end and it's much larger in diameter.

My car doesn't have the antena. I don't know how the OEM cd player received signals but I had no problem with listening the radio. I hope this is not something that I need to buy extra.
Thanks

How the bloody hell do you expect to receive a signal without an antenna?

And more to the point, is there anything filling the hole left by the antenna you ought to have? Rain might pose a bit of a problem otherwise... :hsughr:

I dont have an external antenna. Mines built into the rear window.

Theres a plug in the back for the antenna. You probably missed it because its a short lead and doesnt hang out.
