bump for no one helpin

well its not the wiring on the speaker. all that does is reverse the polarity and it will play but sound like s@#t. you might have fried your amp.
|
wrong. I sugest you use some higher gauge speaker wire such as 12gauge-and replace it all, that way you are certain you wont burn the wires. Also, reversing the speaker leads forces the speaker or sub to play inwards insted of outwards. This over time will destroy the coil. it is possible that you friend your amp output from having the wrong resistance on it.

one light is on the amp . the other one is off if my amp was fried wouldnt both lights be off?
i used about the same thickness that was on there before it worked fine for 2 yrs then one day it quit then it worked then i found the wires burnt up in the "box" behind the speakers u know how they run 4 diffrent ways. any more help?? plss |
replace all of the speaker wire. What light is on the amp? it might even be that your speaker is blow, to test take a AA battery, connect the neg and pos wires to the sub and using the other end, tap the ends to the AA battery. if the speaker makes a little crackling sound, they are still okay

still nothing. iam thinking of just selling it all. it just slows me down
|
may i ask what amp include model number. also what lights are on it beecause most amps will have a protection circuit.
