Default 97 civic ex, chime when door open,

I need to disable this damn chime/beep sound very annoying, i like to leave my keys in and open the door. what wire do i cut?

why dont u leave ur keys in and roll down the window...

well anyways, im just saying its dumb to bypass your chime. the only way i know how is to either find the chine and cut that(no idea where it is) or u can cut the driver door trigger.

cut the Door Trigger Light Green/Red (-) at driver door (fusepannel or kickpanel) if you have a keyless entry or factory alarm, the wire is at the Anti-Theft Module behind Radio Green Connector.

the best solution to your problem is to use a switch. use a single pole switch for ur application. Cut the Green/red wire, one side to the switch, and the other wire to the switch. so when u want to leave in the keys, u can hit the switch for the chime to go off, but turn back on so u can get a dome light when u open driver door.
