Default Entered code but...

1997 Honda Accord EX. My mechanic had to disconnect my battery to service my car. As a result the radio security code needs to be entered.

I do have the radio security number, however, when I enter it nothing happens. I've had to use the code before and it always worked. This time, I've tried several times with no success. What now?

Just replace it, it's a snap.

Replace what? The radio? I know that's not difficult. The code? How?

OK - So after about 50 tries at putting the code into the radio all weekend with no results, I'm driving along this evening (tried a few more times - still nothing - so I give up) when after awhile I hear this loud electronic beep. I think it's the radio so I put the code in again and voila! IT WORKS. How strange is that?

Replace the radio, this is only a sign of events to follow.
