can't get disc changer to work...
So I bought a '94 Accord EX a couple months ago and the previous owner had a disc changer installed in the trunk. The only problem is, I can't get it to power on. I have never been able to get it to work. I think they said it worked up until they had to replace the car's battery. It has a corded "remote" that you use to select CD's/tracks and I have tried all different combinations of pushing/holding buttons down but still have had no luck. It looks like everything is plugged into the back of the changer in the trunk. Any suggestions?

IS it connected to the HU? |
make and model.

sounds like an RF CD changer.
Check its fuse |
It's a JVC CH-X350 RF-style 12-disc changer. Does this plug into the factory radio at all? I've never installed this style changer before so I have no idea. Where would the fuse be, on the unit itself?

ok, with the RF changers,.........
You need a turn on lead, power and ground to work it. Its connected via RCA audio cables and that joystick thing is what controls it. Check your fuse on it and the wiring. could be as simple as a loose connection |
got to agree with you. sounds like a loose connection. Follow the wires from the changer to the place were they taged it for power. Should be a small glass fuse.
