We bought a pioneer amp and sony subs, we have wired everything, there is power going from the battery to the amp, from the amp to the ground wire, but not from the ground wire to the chassis of the car. subs work, not sure about amp, but it is brand new. PLEASE any help would be greatly appreciated

I don't understand this. You just connect the power wire (from battery) to the positive, and the ground wire from the amp to the vehicle's chassis. Don't connect the power and ground wires together! Connect a remote wire from any switched power source(usually the headunit) to the remote conection on the amp.
