the 7995 is the same thing as the 7894, except for the silver face and the lack of internal amps... so its up to him if he likes the silver face... to me its a waste of $$ if you dont care about the face difference... seeing how the 7894's amps can be switched off.

Yea, I don't care for the silver face, its not my style. My interior theme is black and carbon fiber so a silver-faced deck would look like ass and stand out (imo). If I had chosen to go with brushed aluminum accents/dash kit, then I most likely would have gone with a silver-faced deck to match up. Anyways though, the deck is in and I am happy with it.
