Default Kicker solo baric question

Does anybody have any experience with 15 inch subwoofers, in particular the 15 inch solo baric models? Experience meaning performance, sound quality and durability...

This is just my opinion, but 15's are pretty much over kill. You can get a 12, hell even a 10, thats boxed correctly and powered correctly that will out perform just about any 15, Excluding say a Cerwin Vega Stroker Pro etc. I dont see the need for a 15' Sub for everyday listening, unless your doing competition. By the way, solobaric's hit pretty damn hard, just make sure the box is right for it.

I agree with the fact that the 15 is probably too much... and I've had a couple L5 for quite some time... and they hit damn good. The main thing with them is the fact that you can get dual 2ohm VCs, run them parallel and put a good amp behind it (planet audio's what I have... awesome) that will run 1ohm stable... they slam.

Bro I got the Solobaric 12 inch, and realized i while ago that i probably bought more than i needed. My boy who works at a big electronic store, put a a 10 inch. solobaric to give me an idea of what my 12 inch would sound, and boy was it slamming. Can't wait till the actual 12 is in my car in the weeks to come.

personally i love 15's. yea you can get a pair of 10's or 12's to outperform 15's that have been installed improperly. but get a pair of 15's and install them properly and by that i mean in a vehicle that will support having them where you dont have to scrimp on enclosure design and then power them properly with a good battery and charging system and make those guys with 12's jealous.........

^^^ I totally agree with what you are saying, I was just trying to save him some money and trunk space. To each their own.

thats cool, i just wanted him to consider whether he was going to be able to do 15's justice in his car. nothing worse than having a pair of subs that sound like ass........
