question about wiring tweeters
i have a 98 civic lx, im thinking of adding tweeters for more nicer sound...my question is, where would i wire the tweeters too?? do i just wire them with my front door speakers?? thanks

No. You are going to need a crossover for those tweeters. You can either get a component set, which will include the woofer / tweeter / crossover or you can just buy a crossover by itself.
Using the crossover will allow only the correct frequencies to be sent to the tweeter. Shameless plug. I have a brand new set of 6.5" eDi6000s for sale. PM me if interested :oh: |
what if i have upgrade speakers in the front doors with tweeters stuck on the woofer (2-way speakers/non components). can i still use crossovers to send the correct frequencies to my new tweeters?? and will anything happen to tweeters that are on my 2-way speakers on my front doors if i do this?? cause wont the crossovers send the high frequencies to my new tweeters and the low to my 2-way speakers?? so wont it effect the tweeters on there??   someone clear me up..thanks

Your coaxials already have crossovers on them. They look like really small batteries. I am not sure how you can power an additional set of tweeters.

is it possible to juss wire them to the same wires as my 2-way speakers in my front doors?? has anyone tried it?? anyone kno what would happen??
