So I have some extra time to finish up my trunk. Everything is Home-Depot made, so it doesnt look anything like what a shop would do. But I am happy with it. For the past couple days I have been working on mounting my amp and distro-block. I had it on a carpeted board, but wanted something else now. So I played with the idea of making a metal rack. So pics are below. It is about $7 worth of material from Home Depot.
I replace the thin board that Honda calls a floor with a .5" sheet of particle board. I cut that piece into two, so that way I can lift the front and have full access to my spare. The rear piece is going to be mounting via straps to the floor of the trunk. The sub box is going to be bolted down to that board to keep it from moving around. The amp rack is going to be bolted to that same board, and also reinforced to the sub box. That should keep everything secure :oh: Anyway, here are some pics. I still need to paint them. The piece that holds the distro block is still drying. Because I dont have a welder and dont know how to weld, JB Weld has become my good friend. This is good stuff :oh: https://www.honda-acura.net/forums/a...chmentid=46838 https://www.honda-acura.net/forums/a...chmentid=46839 https://www.honda-acura.net/forums/a...chmentid=46840 https://www.honda-acura.net/forums/a...chmentid=46841 https://www.honda-acura.net/forums/a...chmentid=46842 |

not as ghetto as this
http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=2028826 I love the jb weld. It got me home from a 4 hour drive after my radiator cracked. Always keep some in my car. Why didnt you just bolt it together? |
