Default Wiring two DVC subs to a mono amp?

I have two DVC subs, they are currently wired in series giving them each an 8 ohm impedence. I want to wire them to a single mono amp. I was wondering how this could be done and what impedance it would run the amp at after everything was connected properly. thanks

So it looks like you have 2 4OHM DVC subs. Wiring the voicecoils together will get each sub 8 OHM. Just like you stated. If you want to run the two subs together, wire them in parallel. That will net you a mono load of 4 OHM.

For parallel take the + wires of sub1 and the + of sub2 and put them together into the + on the amp. Do the same for the - wires.

Default another question

thats what i thought, if i have an mono amp that is 400 watts RMS at 4 ohms and i am running two subs in parallel to that amp, does that mean that each sub is getting 200 watts RMS?
