Default High signal only when engine off??

Does anyone know of a line that would go high only when the egine is off on any honda vehilce? Sort of like what would ideally power an alarm but the amperage is not important. I know that sounds weird, it's for a custom project.

Also, this site, http://www.hondahookup.com/manuals/ seems to be down, anyone know of a similar resource, wiring diagrams and schematics and what not?

thanks in advance for any assistance

I dont exactly know of a wire that does that but if you wanna make a wire that only works with they key off then hook a relay to your ignition using the ignition for ground on the relay then when you turn the car off the relay will energize.

ignition to 85
constant power to 86 and 87
power output when ignition off to 30
nothing to 87a

the reason that works is because when the ignition is off it rests on ground.

Hope I Helped!!!!!!!

thanks for all the responses.

I'm trying to put a flashing red light (fake alarm-LM555 based circuit) that goes off only when parked, the relay to ignition sounds like the key. I'll put up on of those cool how tos if it works out.

Again thanks alot for all responses, and speficially I need the 96 honda civic wiring diagrams.

Oh,......I know what your doing now. Those hyper LED thing usually just have 3 wires, black, red, and yellow.

Red wire-constant 12 v
black wire-ground
yellow-switched 12/ ignition

Just hook it up like that and it should be fine. Ithink I e-maile you a wiring diagram too.
