suggestions for 6.5"

Hey guys, im currently running

2x JL 10w6's in a sealed carpeted box with 500/1

I drive an 94 integra hatch

im looken for some 6.5" speakers for the front and the rear.. powering it with a JL 300/4..

so far i've looked at

JL VR650CXi and the MB Quarts RCE 216.

any other suggestions?

Polk DB component sets, atleast for the front. I have two sets in my lude. The front set is running off a 100 watt Memphis amp. The have awsome sound for around $200 a set.

I love polk also. The pioneer 3 way speakers are nice too.

Id look at the alpine type x. You can get them online for about that price. You can probalby go to a good guys and listen to all three back to back. Ive herd some good stuff about the pioneer revs. I had some old polks ex 2's and they were ok but didnt feel they were particularly special. Id also put more money into the front speakers and jsut buy some cheap coaxils for the rear if you need to. What is the budget?

hmm the budget is prob around 350-500 for front and rear.. Ive heard some good stuff about Boston Acoustics.. and Infinity Kappa Perfects .. any comments on those?

i think the kappa perfects are kinda lacking in the lower mids, i've heard the boston rally's before and i thought they were great.

I love my focal 165v2's, but they're a little bigger than 6.5"

still, I had a friend with a teg who mounted them in the stock spots with no problems.

when I installed them into my civic, I had to cut holes and custom mount them. but damn are they clear :D

here's a little help if you decide to look into them

Sr Flojo 1: how hard was it to mount those focals in your teg?
Nonchalant Rage: easy as ****
Nonchalant Rage: lol
Sr Flojo 1: they just fit right in?
Nonchalant Rage: on a scale of 1-10 i give it a 1
Sr Flojo 1: all the holes lined up?
Nonchalant Rage: yes
Sr Flojo 1: wow
Sr Flojo 1: they wouldn't fit in my 6.5 spots
Sr Flojo 1: lol
Nonchalant Rage: well, i just mounted them on the door panel
Nonchalant Rage: like on the metal
Nonchalant Rage: haha
Sr Flojo 1: but its where the stock speaker grill is, right?
Nonchalant Rage: yeah
