My new JVC deck and the winter?

I just got an expensive deck, a JVC KD-SHX700, and was wondering if it is a bad idea to leave it in the car through the rest of the winter. The car is a '88 Prelude and isn't the best at keeping moisture away. I have it under a carport, but that's about as much coverage as the car gets. I'm not driving this car at the moment, and won't be until summer comes around. It's motorized too, if that matters. What do you suggest? Is it a bad idea? How much can typical decks take before they kick it?

Thanks everyone!

I would, but I'm not driving anything at the moment. I get my license in about 4 months when I'm 18. Thanks though :)

I just popped a 120v thermostat-controlled heater in the car. I think it'll do a great job of keeping things together till my time comes :)
