Question on subs and amps
I'm looking forward to buying the Alpine SWR-1021D subwoofer. My question is that if i got that what would be the best choice for an amp, i dont know how to choose one that will give me the best quality of sound. Also, i'm not even sure which i should get first the amp then the sub, or the sub then the amp. I'm new to this kind of thing so any info would be great thanks. Here is the type of sub i'm planning on gettting if everything works out:

One doesn't do you any good without the other. The amp powers the sub, so without an amp a sub wont make any noise. Also, remember to set aside about 25-50 dollars for wiring, snd about 50-80 for installation, unless you are planning on doing it yourself.

Hey guys thanks a lot for the help. I don't have a box for it yet, but i will definately get one with the right dimensions and everything. strychnine, i appreciate your opinion on the Alpine MRP-M350, that will be something i might consider. But i don't understand how the wattage is supposed to match up with the sub and if i could figure that out perhaps i can choose an amp that will make the best quality of sound for me. Thanks again for your replies.

When you get you're stuff wired. Do it yourself. www.jlaudio.com has all the different types of wiring diagrams. Just do a little research. And if worse comes to worse, just ask me. Alpine isn't the best brand out there, but nice for a budget. What you're gonna want to do is either get a two channel amp and wire up the two subs parallel/parallel. Or get a class D mono amp and wire them in series/parallel for a 2 ohm impendance.
