How do you hook up 2 amps to 1 capacitor(2.4 farad)

i just wanted to know cause my friend had one hooked up to the amp for his subs and a saw that setup
but this guy is asking me how to hook up 2 amps to one capacitor
do you split the power or negative after the capacitor?

thanks

run the power wire of each amp straight to the positive post of the cap... as well as the power wire from the battery... use a single ground wire (same size as positive wires) for each component and ground them all at the same place on the frame of the car, not at the caps negative post.

Only the amp that is powering the subs would benefit from a cap, no?

maybe its for 2 sub amps :p

it wouldnt hurt having a sub amp and main speaker amp both hooked up to a cap... besides, it makes a rather nice, but simple distribution point. I do see what you're getting at though... but an amp powering higher frequencies also hits "peaks" where it will draw more power.
