Default alpine cda-9826 or pioneer deh-p3600

im debating between these two hu's. i compared them on crutchfield.com and it seems that the pioneer has a few better qualities, even though it is less expensive. one of my main reasons for wanting the alpine is so i can hook up my ipod through it using the ipod interface controller. what are ur guys opinions on these two hu's and what do u think i should get?

thanks a lot
adam

ps. if it makes a difference, im not into makin a system or anything just probably replacing stock speakers along with the hu.

the only thing I can say is that both alpine and pioneer are good head units. I once had a pioneer (DEH-P5000 or somethin like that) and I was totally satisfied with it and never had any problem ( except with the remote control that seemed to suck in cold weather - i'm in canada - so if your in so cal or somewhere like that I can't imagine any problem with it - but I'm not saying the alpine ain't good but I never experienced with alpine)

so maybe it won't help but my .02$ -- pioneer
