Default Rear Deck Speakers

I am helping my friend with his system in his 95 Prelude. He bought his speakers, but the rear set didn't mount correctly. The reasoning is because there is a bar that goes accross the back under the dash. It almost looks like a tie bar. But the magnet depth is to deep is there any good sound and quality speakers that have a slim magnet.

Thanks
Sean

That bar is most likely the tension bar that keeps the trunk lid up. But I could be mistakened. That bar isn't nesscary but it is nice to have. So one solution could be removing the bar. The better solution would be what integraz92 said. Make some spacers for the speakers, and hopefully you wont need to make them so big that you will have clearance issues with the speaker cover.

If you dont know, the spacer is just like a washer made from MDF or whatever material you like to use. It acts like a thick washer that lifts the speaker off of the deck.

Infinity makes some speakers that are shallow for problems like that. I know they make them in 5-1/4", but you'll have to check thier site out and see if they make em in 6x9 or whatever his speakers are.
