You'll hate me, but old model stock radio's code

I went to a thrift shop and got myself an old honda radio. I noticed after I got it, that it was an anti-theft model. I took it to a honda dealer, but they turned me away, saying that I didn't have sufficient proof of ownership, because I 'could have peeled off the price stickers and from something else i bought at that shop for $7.99'.

Is there any way else that I can get hold of the code? The model # is 39100-SV1-A0000, Ref # is CQ-LH14102, and the serial number is 789410.

I don't know why they seem 'sure' that I've stolen it, i mean come on it's a cassette deck! I would greatly appriciate any help anyone could provide.

go back to the pawn shop and make them sign a paper that says you bought an old honda radio there. Even give a number to call for proof.

There's one way.

Probably the only way unless you want to take it apart yourself.

just call the honda dealership and tell them you are a dealer at a used car lot and then they will give you the code i know this cause my friend is a dealer and he had to do that for a friend

I'll try getting a note from the shop, but what would taking the unit apart get me?

Go back to the dealership and tell them you bought a stolen honda radio from a pawn shop is what you should tell them.
