how much do these cost??
20 feet 4 guage wire, 4 guage in/8 guage out Dblock, one 150amp mega fuse, and RCA cable?
|
4 guage wire $.99/ft
d-block $10 150amp fuse $5-10 RCA $30+ that is a huge fuse btw. what amps are you planning to run, and how many amps can your alternator dish out? |
i will be running two amps, one is 400x1 rms at 2ohm for the subs and the other is 4ohm stereo 70x2 rms. the alternator is stock, and i don't know how much amps it can put out
|
I would drop that fuse rating down to 60-80amps
|
when you said 150 amp fuse, i was expecting you to say at least 1000 watts total. i would definatly drop that fuse unless your planning on adding a huge amp later on.
|
in addition to my last post: im running a single amp at just about 1000 watts to my subs, with a fuse size of only 80 amps.
|
that fuse will be wayyy too thick. take a look at both amps, take a look at their onboard fuses, add them up. that should be the fuse size at the battery.
even if you are getting a bigger amp in the future, get the right fuse now, and replace it later. |
150 amp fuse!! sheesh definately do what will said. look at the amp's fuse ratings
also 150 comes in a fuse? i would think u would need a circuit breaker for that size |
ANL fuses go up to 300 c/b's only go up to 150A.

I told the guy at the stereo shop that i wanted 125amp fuse, then he said, he would increase that to 150amps upfront and leave no fuse from the Dblock to amplifiers :dunno: . im confused. |
