My new Tach...
for some reason my new Pivot RTL Tach is off from my in dash tach (stock tach)....has anyone had this problem or heard of it?
like my redline on my GSR is like7.5 and the redline on my pivot tach redlines at 10 when my stock one redlines at 7.5 whats the deal with that? this is the tach i got... http://www.streettuners.com/products...vrtl_w_box.jpg |
i heard people say the shock TACH is not very accurate. but since your new tach should be reading off the same wire, i dont know why its off. how much is it off?
i might be reading your second question wrong, but it doesnt matter what numbers go up to on the tach. my speedo goes up to 140mph, but i doubt my LS can go that fast. see if you can really rev till 10k...=P |
I don't think the stock tachs are very accurate. But I would'nt think that they would be off by that much.

its about by about 500rpm...and i guess when i redline it redlines about 9500rpm on my new tach....i guess the tach might be off...

ohhh i did misread your first post.
are you saying that when you reline your car, 7500 on the engine, it reads 9500 on the tach? |

if the wiring is done right, maybe its a defective tach.
