Default headunit cuts off if bass hit too hard??? wtf?

OK I have a Alpine 9807 Headunit Audiobahn A8000T sub amp and two alpine type E 12's. Whne i turn it up to 22 (depending on bass level) the head unit will turn off and turn back on. What the **** is going on. ANyone know what this is caused by and how to fix it??? We already tried upping the wattage on the radio fuse to 20A. Any other suggestions?

Don't mess with the fuse size on your head unit. You will fry it if anything shorts out! Sounds like a lose ground.

its not the fuse or the ground cable... this is really common in big bass.. my car did the same thing.. when the headunit starts cutting off that meens that your alternator cant supply enough electricity... what u want to get is a Capacitor.. this stores electricity and uses it in big bass... they are pretty expensive.. u see i have 2 12" jl audio subs i put 2 small Capacitor because if it si one big it takes way too long to charge 2 small charge alot faster..
they look just like this one on the link...
Capacitor

anyways put those on and you wont have this problem again!

It doesn't really matter what subs you are using. Its the amount of current the amp is pulling. What is the ohm load on the amp and what sizes fuses does it have? But yeah it sounds like when the bass is hitting the amp is drawing too much of the power and this causes the head unit to shut down.

the amp is drawing 800 watts RMS at 2 ohms. The inline fuse is 80A.And the fuses in the amp itself are 2 30A fuses. Hope that helps any.
