Sub's face Seats? Or Sub's Face Trunk?

sorry if this has been asked before. I ran a search and didn't find anything :p.

I have 2 12's in a sealed enclosure and I'm wondering if it will matter if they are facing the seats or the other way around....or any way for that matter. Right now I have them facing the tails but I'd like to have them face the back of the seats so I don't have to worry about putting something through them if I load up my trunk :p

the trunk is plastic, aim em at the seats.

the best way is to try different position and find out which is best for you. :naughty:

usually the longer the distance the wave travels, the better itll sound? something like that. but take my first advice.

Yeah, his first advice is right on the money. It's different for every set-up.

nice qoutable will

and i would agree, i just hate the sound of bouncing waves...the faster it bounces the worst the rattles and vibration, especially off of hard materials.

if u don't want ur bass to be heard from two blocks away down the road, then face ur subs to the tail.

9 of 10 sound better when aimed at the tails. Especially when in a sealed box. If it was ported, you might get away with it, but not sealed.

if you aim the subs at the seat, the bass might sound better outside the car but inside it'll sound like :booty:

bass is non-directional.. but if you point it toward the tails you create more of a box inside a box if ur trunk seals fairly tight.. if you have a hatch pointing it toward the tails would also be better because it will bounce off the glass of the hatch :)
