AudioBahn or Sony AMp.
....Ok guys...MY complete Mobile Entertainment system is manufactored by Sony. Except for the subwoofer( Kicker S10L5 )
I want to go with a new setup but am not certain if I should keep sony or not.
I like Sony, my highs are really loud and amazingly clear. The sub pumps harder than my friends 2 12's JBL that he has.
I have two questions to ask.
1. How good is Audiobahn? Is it better than sony? Has anyone had sony and or audiobahn and had any dislikes?
2. Would a 700- 800 watt amp be sufficient to push 2 10" Kickers?

My friend has audiobahn stuff in his car. its sum major weak sauce.. nothing too impressive with the sound quality with that brand.. with sony.. besides everything being over ratted and in red, its probably as good as audiobanh.. i use to use a nice new 1000 watt sony amp for my jl.. but i changed it out for a cheap hifonics 400 watt amp.. would you believe the hifonics was louder, only thing worth considering from getting from sony is the HU.. and anything worth getting from audiobahn is directions to a alpine dealer.

First of all, i would agree with John666 about the sony/audiobahn being similar. I dont like sony at all. Audiobahn subs sound better than sony though.
Second, and 800 watt amp would push the subs, depending on what amp you use. A crappy amp will not push them. You would want to get a good amp, i like mtx amps personally.

Generally, if you can get away from insanely mainstream brands you are ahead of the game
Look into JBL, US Acoustics (without the blue led's), old school Rockford (like '93-'96 range), Pheonix Gold (older style is completely awesome, newer style I'm sceptical about), MTX is decent as someone suggested, PPI, Zapco, Arc, Clarion, etc. etc. You can find some sweet amps if you get away from Sony, Audiobahn, Legacy, Pyramid, Pyle, those types of brands.

MY whole setup is practically Sony. Im surprised cause the audio quality is awesome. Very loud, I mean REALLY loud but most of all Very clear.
I had MTX amps before this and with the Sony Amps to me and from MY experience Sony seems to be better.
What about HiFonics amp? Im thinking about the Brutus amp rated at 1000watts to push 2 S10L5

I personally would't buy sony or audiobahn products. Everything I've heard from both companies sounds like shit. I think Kicker Makes very good amps for the money. If your subs are sealed, look into the JBL 1200.1. It puts out a true 1200W at 2 ohms @ 12V. The only downside to this amp is that it lacks in the crossover and has no subsonic filter, hence the reasoning for only using it with sealed driver applications. Good luck man
