cd player problems
i had a deh-p8400 hook up in my car and after about 6 months it just cut off one day and i would not come back on so after a week i took it out any ideas on what the problem could be?

You check the fuses yet?

yea i checked all the fuses

Take it to where you bought it for service. Most likely the ribbon that provides power to the detatchable faceplate is bad and needs to be replaced. I'm a home and car stereo technician, and I see these about 2-3 times a week for the problem you are describing..... it's dead, but all fuses and wiring are good. When Pioneer made the initial design, the ribbon rubs against the back of the grille when the face folds down. That rubbing wears out the ribbon, and opens the power circuit to the grille. Not a hard repair, and Pioneer has a factory upgrade we install to prevent that from happening again.

i brought it off of ebay and the warranty is up
