I like passport 8500. Cheaper and works just as well or maybe better couse u can see up to 4 readouts on each band at the same time.

How much is the 8500, and where did you get it from?

V1 shows you where they're coming from. Car and driver gave the 8500 a 70-something out of 100. V1 got almost 100, nuff said. V1 > *. Match that up with a GPS somehow (i.e. You are here X, cops are here here and here.) would be awesome.

I use a $100 Cobra radar, and it has done the job for me. I got it 2 years ago, and it has safed my butt too many times. IMO thats way to much money for a radar.

Default passport 8500

I got my passport 8500 from ebay.... brand new it was sealed..

and even got the warranty.... it was about $210?? including shipping...

I even made the cord with phone line... so..

i could hide the wires and mount it right below the top tinted part of windsield...

it's not quite noticeable from outside even to a person standing right next to ur driver side talking through the window or something...

unless u look for it...

and it definitely has the clear view of front and back.... nice...

anyway thats just me....

i think passport 8500 is a portable kind and valentine is like ur audio set...

that you gotta screw things in and mount the sensors around ur car...
