barely anything coming from sub

Default barely anything coming from sub

after hooking up my sub/amp i can barely hear anything from the sub. i an tell its on and the amp is working, but no sound. any advice?

Check the ground wire. The power lights on the amp may be on, but the ground may not have a good enough connection to power the subs. The ground has to be REALLY good (almost have to connect directly to the neg terminal on battery).

Is your sub new or is it used? if it is used, it might be blown.

If the equip is used, I would suspect that it doesn't work. If new, make sure that you have the settings on the amp correct. Gain UP, low-pass crossover ON. To check the speaker. Take a 9V battery and tap the wires on the speaker terminals. If you hear a loud pop/crackle, speaker is probably not blown.
