Default Remote start? Autopage RS-850 LCD

A couple of months ago I had the Autopage RS-850 LCD alarm installed in my 99 Civic Hatchback. The alarm is great!! I feel a lot more secure in leaving my car parked in the parking lot at night. I did notice one problem though, and it probably has an easy fix. Due to the cold weather, the car has a little bit of a harder time starting right away. It may take a few more cranks than the warmer days. I think that when the alarm was installed, it was connected to a voltage sensor and not the tach. So the remote shows that the car is running but when in fact it is not, but the ignition is on causing the stereo to come on and the parking lights to turn on. This in turn leads to a dead battery. Is there any way to connect the alarm to the tach so that when the tach reaches say 900 rpm, the alarm then recognizes the car to be running?
