Default Alpine 7863 help!

On my way back from a trip to kentucky I hit a bump and my cd player turned off. Sometimes It does this when I go to touch the faceplate and it turns itself off but then it turns itself back on. Almost like there is a bad contact behind the plate where it plugs in. But when i went to take the plate off and put it back on it didn't work. I tried cleaning both contact points and placing it on numerous times and nothing worked consistently. Sometimes I would put it on and it would work for a little then turn itself back off to the slightest vibration... I'm gonna take a look at the wiring in the back of the head unit but i'm doubting it's that because sometimes when i put the head unit it works, but then the most minor jiggle makes it turn back off. Any other suggestions? Thanks
