Default Alarm install question. Please shed light!

Alright, the alarm is a Clifford Intelliguard 850.

Alarm, ignition kill prx sens. works no problem....

the issues.....

-keyless entry..
there are 3 lock and unlock wires. Common, open, and closed. which do i use for a 96 civic with the negative activation? Also, i tapped into the black/white and black red wires from the factory alarm harness.

-trunk activator
there were wires for it....hooked it to the aux. unlock. on the brain. doesnt work. is there an activator there or is it just to sense if its open?

and random questions:

where in civics is it best to mount the LED? Im thinking by the ebrake in a blank.....also thinking there for the Plain View Valet Switch.

Please help!

Well, I can tell you straight up that you cannot just mount a remote trunk activator without first installing a solenoid to open the trunk.

You have more than one blank by the weee-brake. BTW, put the valet switch OUT of plain view. That's what I would do. Actually, I have no valet switch in my car, because on Vipers all you have to do is hit lock unlock lock with the door open and it goes into valet mode.

For the keyless entry problem. How many out put wires does the alarm have for the keyless entry. There are probally 3 out put wires for the 3 different ways you can hook it up. When i did my alarm in my civic you just use the basic unlock/lock. Read in the manual and you want to use only 2 of those wires. One of the wires from the alarm is going to provide a negative pulse during arming, that wire be connected to the wire in your keyless entry which locks the doors. The other wire from your alarm is going to provide a negative pulse during disarming, this will be connected to your wire in your keyless entry which unlocks your doors. Also with the alarm, when you hit the disarm and it unlocks the doors, it unlocks all your doors. With the factory keyless entry you had to hit it twice to unlock all doors.

My alarm had 3 wires coming off of it, a red, green, and red/black wires for the keyless entry. Red was lock, and green was unlock and the 3rd wire you dont use.

And for the truck release you need to use a relay or you will burn up your alarm.
