Manual Conversion
Has anybody here done their own manual conversion themselves? I'm just wondering how hard it would be. I've done a few motor swaps with Auto trannies but nothing to converting a auto to a stick. I'm dropping an h22 and manual tranny in my 93 accord and just wanted to save the 1500 bucks labor. I thought about just letting the shop do the tranny conversion.
I've got the manual tranny, shifter, and linkage right now. I know I need the master cylinder, pedal assembly and brake pedal assembly. Is there anything else I will need for this?
Thanks

Yep, I did mine myself... pretty easy. I'm sure you already know you have to weld a different bracket in for the tranny mount... that surprised me 3 years ago. Couple of notes... you don't need a new ECU, just unplug the AT one. Must rewire so car will start (thinks it's in Park or Neutral)... can also use the old AT shifter wires to run the reverse lights. Remove (or unplug) Key Lock Solenoid from steering column. Also need to do some wiring to get the cruise control to work.
