Need Help Asap
hey...i'm pretty scared now...my car's pretty old and i want it to last...really like it...so here's what's up
1) need a good tune up shop in the socal area
2) my car just did this crazy thing...it bucked...like it reved up to like 2 then went back to normal...and then the check engine light on...for as long as i've had it (3 yrs) the light hasn't gone on...and that was kinda scary...so i need some quick suggestions to fix
3) makes 2 funny sounds now...the one i described in another thread as a WAH WAH WAH when i let off the gas at 70...and now this other one that sounds like it's coming from underneath the car and it's a high pitched sound...almost like when u move ur wheels on really new or not used asphalt, like my parking garage...i know it's really hard to diagnose from that...but maybe u guys have ideas on where to go to check it up
i don't want my car to die!...what should i do

1. I'm nowhere near SoCal area, can't help you on this.
2. Like what VRGNCD5 suggested, go to AutoZone for free ECU reading to determine the cause of your engine light issue.
3. First sound, perhaps a crying baby nearby! :naughty:
Second sound, not really sure about this but worth checking. The under carriage sound might be caused by a loose heat shield, right above your catalytic converter unit.

well...thx for the info...but autozone discontinued that like half a yr ago they said...and it costs 50 bucks now...guess i'll go do a search on that now...cuz pepboys don't do and dealership prolly expensive...any other suggestions?
