So i have a 2000 accord, ex, runs great, A/C actually seems to be working fine. But recently I noticed it started turning off (air stops being cold) while driving. I do not have a temperature control setting, just the old school knobs.

I've had the car for 5 years, and it started doing it about 2 months ago. Its actually kind of nice, because you can leave the A/C on and it just cycles between cold and regular air, but I'm afraid its a symptom of a problem. I should mention that you can clearly hear the compressor kick on and off (usually for 2-3 minutes at a time).

Before when the A/C was on it would just run full blast and be freezing constantly, which is good when first starting up.

Any ideas if its a problem? Going to get worse?
