Well I hydrolocked my motor the other day. I was one of those oh it will never happen to me I drive in the rain all the time. Too bad that the roads in MISS dont drain so I ran into a small lake that formed oin the middle of the road. The only good news is that Ill be getting a h23a1 put in. Trust me id love to have the h22a but money is tight real tight. SO I have to settle, but hey at least Ill be one of those hybrid peeps.
dang man...sry to hear that...had some nasty rain in chitown this summer...streets were flooded in the city and i had to wait it out...biggest puddle i'd seen...was like halfway up my wheel...too bad i got my digicam out too late to take pics...funny tho...still don't have bypass installed on mine
Welcome to the "hydro" club! Sorry to hear about that. Same thing happened to me last month, but I already had a h22 in the plans so it was like a reason to do it now.
Anyway I'm not much for bypass valves either.

Yeah I was one of those Oh it will never happen to me had the cai fro 3 years oh well. Hybrid club here I come.
If the bypass valves were well made, Id be all for em, but I have heard too many stories of those things falling apart, and you dont want that pieces of that loged in your throttle body keeping it open. Till then I say dont drive in water thats deep enough to submerge your filter; bypass valve or not, its still not good.
hehee..i had my bypass taken off recently cause don't really need it in the hot sunny weather...but i'll put it back on during rainy season...the bypass valve does make the intake sound louder tho...weird...
