6th gen CEL, where to check ecu?
i did multiple searches and i couldnt find a thread that pinpointed the location of the two wire ecu checking dealy. i have an 00 accord ex, and i can't find the freakin wire. quick answer, can anyone tell me where it is?
The location is directly under the steering column. You will see the OBDII plug. In order to read the code, you need a wire/paper clip. I cannot remember off the top of my head which two holes need to be jumped. LOL but all you do is make a circuit and then turn the ignition key to the on position and record the number of times the CEL flashes. This is a chitty explaination. Just go to Autozone and flip through the Haynes manual. It's really straight forward.
If you're gonna go to AutoZone anyway to flip thru the book, they'll plug in an OBD-2 reader for free. Get them to tell you the code #, not just the guy's explanation.
I don't remember which pins to short, but I remember someone (on another board) who got the wrong ones. He never posted back with the final fix but it sounded like he fried his ECM.

this should explain everything for you.
its the 4th hole from the bottom on the left on, and the one on the very bottom on the right side.
