Default NEED HELP PLEASE ASAP!!!! can i fix this?

5th gen accord topic:

ok, i was installing my painted gauge bezel and after i was all done, i reinstalled the guages for a test run...well i turned the key to ignition and the cruise control lamp didn't light up for the few seconds its supposed to (its suppost to right?).

anyway, i look in the manuel, and it says the bulb could be burnt out. so i tried removing the bulb (thinking i had a replacement one) but...i pulled it out and 3/4" of wire attached to the bulb came out with it (looks like i removed a non-removable bulb, i think)

well, i'm FREAKING OUT.... i took the cover peice of plastic off the back of the gauges and theres one big circuit board. i was affraid of taking that out, in fear the speedometer will come out with it.

so here's my question, if i take out that big circuit board...will i ruin my gauges...or can i take it out to get a new bulb to put back in

whoa..be careful with that gauge cluster...its madd $$$ to replace. It looks like you removed an LED bulb. Led's arent supposed to go out(supposedly)at all. You will need to re-solder that on there somehow. Or just do without your cruise control light from now on.

I would find a friend that's good with a soldering iron and maybe he can do some majic wth either that bulb or a bulb you can pick up from any Radio Shack nearby.

i'm not outside to check my car right now, but i'm pretty sure the cruise light doesn't come on when the key is turned.

probably should have tried it while actually cruising...
