does anybody know how much the stock EX rims on the 98-00 accords weigh? I'm tryin to decide whether to get 17's or 18's. I'll get 18's if i can find some that weigh less than my stock wheels, which shouldn't be hard cuz those bastards are heavy. But im really thinkin about 17's for the weight savings. If anybody knows how much those stock bricks weigh, holla at me... peacE

 

if your trying to save weight get some 18in VOLKS, they cost a good chunck of change but they are proably some of the lightest rims our there.

 

yeah i was looking at volks... but the ones i want are 635 PER WHEEL... im not bankin like that yet lol. I'm looking at some velox wheels that in 18" are only 16.5 lbs... that should be a good weight savings. But i really wanna know how much my stock wheels weigh. I really like the arospeed crush wheels (hyperblack with silver lip) in 18 i think they are like 22lbs. Those 15" bricks i have on the car now have got to weigh more than that huh? peacE

 

I doubt the 15's are much over 20lbs each. Just remember that 18" tires are going to weigh more than 15" tires. But get 18s. They look good.

Go 18's! My 18's weighed 15lbs a piece w/ box and that seemed really light. At least that's what UPS stated when it was shipped . I don't know how much lighter they can get. My wheels are the Velox vx-ks in gunmetal. Believe it or not my car squeels tires in between 2nd & 3rd and it's auto .

 

why not compromise and get 17s or get some rotas.

15s on 6gs don't look that great.

 

I went with black 17" Volk SE 37K with 215/45zr17 nitto Neo Gen tires... 14.2lbs for the rims, but those may still be heavier than my stocks...i was playin with one of the stock wheels at work, and those things are REALLY REALLY light....but im gettin the volks...they actually should have been in today, but it looks like they wont be on the car till tomorrow :-\
