Default Reset for 6th gen maintenence light?

What is the procedure?

a friend of mine is stumped and I am not looking at the car...i also don't know 6th gens well

hold down the dimmer light knob near the gauges ... then start the car ... hold the button down till the light comes off

its not the dimmer control its the tripodometer reset...hold it down while starting car & keep it held in till light resets (about 15-20 seconds)

btw: it's in the manual for those that read 'em :fawk:
