A few nights ago I was putting in the Sylvania Silverstar bulbs on my 5 gen. And to put in the bulb on the passenger side one had to remove the coolant container... When I pull the container up the fluid level was lower than the minimum mark. My question is that can I just dump that out and put in new fluids or do I have to flush the whole thing or something?
yea.. but check your radiator to see if your low on fluids. you might as well flush it if you havent done it in awhile. but if you have, just fill the container to the max level.
That's just the excess tank I believe, when the fluid overflows it runs into that tank. Back in the days it just drained onto the road, but now it just drains into that little tank.
I read it in the owner's manual that the fliud is suppose to be filled in between min and max is that true? Cause my 03 is like that....is that too less should I just fill to the max?
Which reminds me that I got the 90k complete service plus timing belt and everything done recently and had not drove more then 2000 miles since how can the coolant fluid run out so fast? Damn dealers.

I think so too cause everytime after I drive and when the temperature gets high it's almost to the max. So I figure it's best to leave it in the middle so the fluid wont go over the max point when the engine gets hot.
