i got a 93 accord dx, i ws told if i take out the filter in the stock intake until i got the cash to get the intake it would help make a better sound...but some1 else told me it could do alot of harm, plz reply and let me know if it is ok to take out the filter, thanx in advance

dude are you serious? running without a filter will let all the dust and dirt particles enter your engine. who the hell told you to take your air filter off? just for believing that, you should consider selling your car. but to get a louder sound, might as well go for it. add an electronic blow off valve and you're all set. loud doesn't mean it's faster dude. leave your filter in!

if anything, you can remove the resonator and drop in an OEM style k&n. also known as the "poor man's CAI"

now im not sayin that this is a good idea, but when my freind went out to drag he took the whole intake and exsast off, ran strait from the trottle body, and strait pipes...

I guess its ok if its onyl for that short amount of time, but it was still risky if u ask me...
