Default Short ram intakes

I installed a short ram intake over the weekend. My question is there are 3 metal tubes that are attched together, one that goes to the intake, a small vacuum hose and the other is a coolant hose. I wanted to take out the cluster of metal tubes. Can I just get a longer section of coolant hose and bypass the metal tube?

Let me try and clarify a little better. The small coolant hose I am reffering to comes off one side of the metal tube and goes to the thermostat. The other end of the metal tube also has a hose that the coolant runs thru. Basically it all the same line but I just want to remove the metal tube inbetween the 2 hoses and just make it one hose and remove the metal tubing all together. I just wasnt sure it it will hurt anything or if that metal tube is there for a purpose before I remove it.

yes you can bypass the tubes. my aem cai came with an extra tube and no instructions on what to do with it. i assumed it was for that since, it worked perfectly. a little bit of coolant will spill, but don't worry.
