Default License Plate Light

Yea for some reason one was never put back on after I got rearended. Is it against the law to not have one?

Anyway id like to purchase the license plate light for my car, and was wondering how difficult do you think it is to put in? When I look above my license plate I see a cutout to what looks like the lights are suppose to go, and I also see a plug (guess that hooks in the light assembly). Does anyone know a site where I can buy that at? Im not sure what exactly to look for, so any help would be great. Btw I drive a 98 accord v6 coupe.

I'm not sure where you'd be able to order this online. You may as well end up getting raped and buy one from your local Honda dealership. They're also very easy to install.

If it's the plug for the bulb itself, that'll be easy. Just get a bulb, and the lens cover from the dealer's parts dept.

IMO just go to pepboys and grab a 194/168 socket for a chevy/dodge (3 bux) and tap it. tape it down

I dunno what exactlyI need, but the cutout above my plate has NOTHING. So im thinkin I Need the whole assembly for it. But I guess the plug that plugs into it is there.

Here you go:

If all you have is the plug, I guess you need the light assembly and the bulb.

I was thinking of the sedan, it's a little more simple with the sedan.

Here's a pic for ya:

yes it is required. you can get cited for not having one. i guess the logic is that if people/cops need to grab your license number at night, they need to be able to see it.

i was borrowing a friend's car once and the light was out. i got pulled over. the cop could have given me a ticket but since it wasn't my car and i didn't know about it, he let me slide.
